Greed and stupidity has as usual reared It`s ugly head and mismanaged It`s way to give me the pleasure of a date with Covid .
This Includes the Government of the UK whom locked us down ,well after the horse had bolted .
Although personally as I had arranged my engagement dinner on February 29th , Their Incompetence meant my arrangements were not wasted .
We all knew of this disease on New Years day , yet they locked us down in March .
One thing I will say for this flu Is that it is very ,very virulent even at this stage ( about type 8 / Omicrom, we are at Perhaps today ).
At least I managed to evade this one for a year and a quarter . June is Our last Man Standing ( Long may It Continue ).
Just to let you know what`s coming , however flu normally affects you , add 40% on top . then you have Covid / China Flu .
Luckily this seems a lot less harmful than Kansas Flu , Or H1N1 strain , nee Spanish Flu of 2018 .
Personally , It very much follows the flu pattern about 24hours from Infection , the first stage was a light headedness and a disability to function at 100% .Perhaps a light headache even . Luckily even at 90% fit my driving skills are still adequate .
The disease proper struck with a vengeance on about 36 hours ,chest chills of high magnitude for a long two hours or so , having faced this pain for longer than with any other Flu , I was pleased to have made It to the Other Side without too much trauma .
Then at 48 hours having got up probably too fast the feeling of fatigue was very strong , stronger than your average Flu , All which I have experienced thanks to a large and very sociable family

Post recovery from the weakness , the odd head twinge & tightening of the chest area . We come to 72 hours and more . Blocked nose and odd cough and soon to recovery hoorah .
Evenings Night 1 Nightmare attack and not much sleep
Night 2 Knocked out and slept like a log
Night 3 Bad nights sleep as blocked by constant mucus issues
Addendum . First visit to the toilet No2 for two days , was also quite a struggle . Then again Officer No2 & I have been at constant bad relations over the last twenty years .
Night 4 + Occasional cough & odd chilled chest ,
Several weeks on and It looks like hayfever / another cold type virus is occurring " marvellous" .......
One assumes more vaccines will dissuade Death in the Meantime .
